American Silver Bowl, The Kalo Shop, Chicago, IL,

An American silver bowl, made in Chicago during the early twentieth century, this lovely arts and crafts period hammered sterling silver shell bowl is by Kalo Silversmiths.

Hand hammered  serving bowl having a double fluted design which divides the bowl into five panels, one of which as an applied monogram S. The bowl is in original condition, with a wonderful finish and no repairs or alterations.

This bowl weighs 11 t oz. It has a rim that reinforces the edge. The bowl measure 2 and 1/4 inches in height with an engraved bottom.

The Kalo Shop in downtown Chicago was known for its fine quality, elegant sterling silver made on the premises.
