Pair of French Empire Style Gilt Silver-Plate Four-Light Candelabra

Pair of gilt silver-plate, four-light candelabra, probably French, c. 1900, designed in the Empire style, the base with acanthus borders, the body having reeded, beaded, fluted decorations and fluted stems, the torsed arms ending in gryphon heads, with detachable tops and sconces. Height is 18 1/8'' and length from arm to arm is 11 1/2''.
