Lebkuecher sterling silver pitcher in Art Nouveau style from the late 19th or early 20th century with raised floral motifs and stylized, fluted motifs adorning the body. It measures 14 5/8'' in height by 7 1/8'' from handle to spout, weighs 27.5 troy ounces, and bears hallmarks and a monogram as shown.

Lebkuecher was a Newark-based silversmith, active in the 1890s and early 1900s, who is renowned for his Arts & Crafts and Art Nouveau objects. Lebkuecher was mentioned in Architectural Digest, as “a company known for crafting medals for the Rough Riders, including Theodore Roosevelt.” The partners were Arthur Lebkuecher, Francis Lebkuecher and Charles Wientge, former superintendent & designer at the highly respected Howard Sterling Company. Lebkuecher & Co. changed to F.A. Lester and, in 1918, was taken over by the Elder Company.
